Situated on the picturesque shores of Bangtao Beach, Phuket, Banyan Tree Beach Residences Nammu is a luxury vacation residence that harmonizes contemporary design with the natural elements of its coastal environment.
The property’s location, characterized by heavy monsoon seasons, presented unique challenges. To mitigate the impact of severe weather, the design incorporates a range of strategies. The selection of native seaside plants, such as Barringtonia asiatica, Coccoloba uvifera, and Calophyllum inophylium, not only enhances the property’s aesthetic appeal but also contributes to its resilience against the harsh elements. These hardy species are well-suited to the salty air and intense rainfall prevalent in the region, ensuring the landscape remains vibrant and sustainable throughout the year.
The lagoon-facing side of the home is thoughtfully landscaped to create a lush and inviting atmosphere. The strategic placement of vegetation provides natural protection from the prevailing winds and offers a sense of privacy.
