01 Place
Situated on Bangtao Beach within the Laguna area of Phuket, Thailand, the site presents itself as a destination—as the largest beach club in Phuket to date. Facing the Andaman Sea, the landscape design inherently responds to the harsh monsoon season, tropical rainfall, and demanding coastal conditions.
Programmatically, the landscape takes advantage of the long coastline by segmenting it into a series of distinct zones, accommodating the various moods and experiences the beach club has to offer. At the same time, the design remains cohesive and flowing, connecting these experiences into one continuous landscape.

02 Making
The story begins with nature. TOPOLA Design draws inspiration for the landscape from the natural phenomenon of elusive tidal pools; shallow bodies of water formed and temporarily held along the shoreline as the tide recedes. The landscape design is centered around creating a seamless spatial integration between indoor and outdoor spaces, reflecting the fluid and interconnected nature of this coastal phenomenon.
The continuous, elongated swimming pool and terrace are subdivided into four distinct sections, each responding to a different experience. The Kids Pool offers a safe and engaging environment for younger guests. The Social Pool serves as a place for relaxation and social interaction. The Main Pool accommodates a range of water activities and forms the dynamic heart of the beach club, adapting to ever-changing organized social events. Finally, the Sanctuary is exclusively reserved for Laguna residents, offering a more elevated, private, and tranquil experience.
Responding to the unique dialogue between the Bang Tao shoreline and the site’s flowing architecture, RAVA Beach Club’s landscape becomes permanent yet dynamic, echoing the ever-changing nature of the coast—a place where the ephemeral becomes enduring, playful yet grounded in place.
